...to the Warwick Tea Party for the opportunity to meet & discuss the educational issues & considerations relevant to this election. It was great to meet the membership & other concerned Warwick residents as well as to have the chance to converse with the other school committee candidates in an open forum.
...the Warwick Teachers Union for taking the time to meet with me on Wed., Oct. 13th - it was informative!
...to the League of Women Voters RI for the opportunity to participate in their Wed., Oct. 14th forum. Soon you may view that debate on the LWV-RI website at www.lwvri.org. Please note that in the cable broadcast, three of the four questions asked & answered were NOT shown, rather, the airing showed just the opening statement, first question & closing statement for both my opponent and me.
...to the Lakewood Neighborhood Association for inviting me to participate in ther meeting, Mon., Oct. 25th. It was a spirited & infrmative night! It was great to meet the LNA membership & have the opportunity to discuss the issues with the LNA & the other district 1 school committee candidate.
...to the City of Warwick Charter Review Comission for Schools for allowing me to share my views concerning the issue of school governance at the Tues., Oct. 26th meeting. More here.
UPDATE...
As many of you know, my family & I have been walking Warwick since October kicked off (& the rain subsided!)...thanks to all who have been so welcoming! One thing is for sure - we are all on the same page about wanting what's best for the children of Warwick! Their education is our priority!
